She is the daughter of Klieg and Rouxls and is currently living with them and her brother Lancer.

* Story *

Most would say that two wrongs don't make a right, and when beloved Castle Town menaces Rouxls Kaard and Klieg Lights announced that they were having a child, the concerns that they were going to raise yet another menace couldn't be further from the truth.

Lava is a bright and peppy teenager, bold and confident, carrying herself with a blind self-assurance much like that of her fathers.

Raised with an air of curiosity and love for the arts, Lava soon became infatuated with music and fashion, developing a love for dancing and theatre.

Living with a loving family and tight community of friends, Lava has never once had to fear being alone.

Klieg and Rouxls - Parents

Lava's closest relationship is easily the one with her dads. Throughout all of her life, her dads have always been present, and in their pursuit to make sure she'd get the best upbringing they could possibly provide her, Lava did end up growing up a bit overprotected at times.

Despite this, Lava never held it against them, her bold personality allowing her to proudly put her foot down whenever she needs to let them know that she can in fact do things on her own and yes she'll call if she gets home late and yes she'll wear a helmet when she goes roller-skating.

Despite their slightly smothering and at times dubious parental practices, Lava still absolutely adores her dads, becoming anxious if she can't reach out to them for whatever reason.

Lancer - Brother

Lava was quick to accept her title as Lesser Sister as from the very start, her big brother has always been there for her. Her and Lancer are often seen together along with their older friend Susie.

They're also seen riding a motorcycle and a scooter through town and being overall loveable menaces. Lancer has grown up to being much the size of his father, allowing for Lava to sometimes be seen perching herself on her big brother's shoulder.

Mittens - Friend

As a baby, it took Lava quite a bit to get used to her auntie Mitts taking care of her. Klieg and Rouxls were maybe becoming far too dedicated and obsessive with being good parents that it was becoming exhausting to them. As such, Mittens decided it was up to her to step in and get some weight off of her friends' shoulders.

Lava was always used to Mittens being around, but when the Headchef decided to take the role of babysitter, the family was quick to realize that Lava had separation anxiety, becoming extremely distressed when her dads weren't around and for a while seeing her auntie Mitts as a sign that her dads were going to be absent for whatever reason.

As she grew up, Lava mostly got over this anxiety, deciding that much how her brother Lancer is collecting dads, it's Lava's duty in life to collect as many aunt figures as possible.

Lava is vegetarian!
Lava's design is primarily inspired on retro-futuristic themes and colourful 70s/80s aesthetics.

The mixture of blue skin and four arms made me want to go for a more spacey alien-like aesthetic for her, and while initial concepts had Lava sporting more futuristic and complex outfits, with her character's nature being more sportsy and active, a simpler outfit made more sense for her character.

Notable inspirations for Lava's design were Stella from Interstella 5555 and Space Groove Lux from League of Legends
The initial concept for the Klieg and Rouxls love child character was initially intended to be a pair of twins, whose gag would be that one was very artsy and theatrical, while the other was a complete jock and the opposite of their parents.

This concept was scrapped due to lack of ideas for what objects these darkners would be. However, these vague personality concepts were then merged into one when Lava's character was finally concepted.

Before Lava's creation, I felt unclear on whether Rouxls also had a slime/ink-like appearance in the Cable AU or not. Lava's design was what finally let me settle that decision.
