Jay's sona, a blue raccoon named... Jay. Or Neon! |
Jay | 27 | They/Them | AromanticNE0Nbandit is the online alias of Jay, a Non-Binary Digital Artist from Portugal. Although primarily focusing on Illustration and Character Design, they also have a passion for Storytelling, World Building and whichever other hobbies they happen to find exciting and interesting. Drawing since they were very young, they hope to inspire others with their art and to share their characters and stories with the world. When not drawing, they also enjoy brainstorming ideas for their original characters, going on strolls to indulge in alone time, playing casual video games, watching video essays on topics they enjoy and gushing about their favourite characters. Watch out when bringing up topics related to their current hyperfixations! They also think it's kind of weird when artists describe themselves in the third person, but they're not one to judge either. However, Jay is also debating rewriting their introduction in the first person so it's less weirdly formal and awkward sounding. |
I hate DNIs, but these people will flock to me if I don't have something telling them to go away, so if you'll excuse me... DNI IF YOU'RE RACIST, TERF, BIGOT, PROSHIP, APHOBE, EXCLUSIONIST OR ANY KIND OF SELF-PROCLAIMED PROBLEMATIC |
Bolded interests are ones whose fandoms I'm involved with, anything else is just casual enjoyment :)

* I started watching it out of morbid curiousity because of how bad everyone said it was.
* Instead, I found myself actually really enjoying the characters and their antics.

I have been drawing since 2007 (Age 9) and I began to take it more seriously when I turned 12, being mainly self-taught. However, I cannot teach anyone how to draw simply because what works for me might not work for someone else, and I've found throughout the years that my "just draw things you like and don't think too much about it" approach doesn't exactly resonate with people xD
I do have some loose ideas I try to stick to, but as I mentioned, they are what work for me personally. Whether this is good advice or just nonsense, I'll leave it up to you, dear reader :) Even I have to remind myself of these things sometimes...
Paint Tool SAI 2 is my main program for everything. Occasionally I use Clip Studio Paint if I need to use effect brushes or create gradient maps, but most of my drawing process is done on SAI.
I do have a tendency to draw on very small canvases so I usually also use Waifu2x to scale my art if needed :)
For my Pixel Art I still primarily use SAI (Yeah I know, everyone tells me it's weird, don't @ me lol) but I also use Aseprite for animation!
I use a Huion GT-220 V2, I've had it since 2018 and it's worked very nicely so far!
No. I used to allow this, but the reposts got so out of control that I no longer allow it. The amount of disrespect I got from the people who ran those pages just leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
I do not respect the concept of those repost pages and I don't wish to contribute to it.
I DO allow the use my art as personal profile pictures, banners, etc provided that credit is given to my account @ NE0Nbandit.
I'd very much prefer if I was asked first. It depends on the artwork, but if it's my Fan Art pieces then yes AS LONG AS YOU CREDIT ME IN THE DESCRIPTION, with my username @NE0Nbandit and a link to my social media (Preferably Twitter).
If it's my original pieces, whether featuring my Original characters or other kinds of original artwork, then I'd prefer to know the context in which they're getting used before deciding whether I approve of the use or not.
Y E S, if you do, I will love you forever! I've been collecting Gift Art for over a decade, I want to see it! :D
I really appreciate people taking the time to draw my characters, it means a lot!
I get asked this a lot and I honestly never know the answer LOL
I think Furries are super cool people!! Though personally, I just like the designs of anthro animals and I love raccoons! :)
It's hard to call myself a Furry since I don't exactly associate with the culture and most of my characters are humanoid in some form but rarely full anthro animals with the exception of my sona.
I guess I feel like some sort of impostor by using the term on myself?? I have fantasized about getting a fursuit head ngl maybe a tail too?
So my answer would be "*Gestures vaguely* ????? I guess??? What are the requirements?"
Edit - Nah, I'm done overthinking it. Yeah I'm a furry, they're one of the nicest and most creative communities I've met and there's no reason for me to feel ashamed of it only because some people will make less than pleasant assumptions about them :)
The Drimare are my own original species, originally inspired by the Nightmaren from NiGHTS into Dreams. They are Dream Elves who live in a world that exists within the dreams of humans.
100% YES, I want to see them and I will infodump on you if you want any guidelines, but will not gatekeep them either! I do want to eventually get some sort of franchise situation going, but in the context of Drimare Universe fan characters, I'm all up for it!
